On behalf of Soroptimist International of Victor Valley and Happy Trails Children’s Foundation, we are now accepting applications for the Irene Somerset Gould Memorial Scholarship, an affiliate fund of High Desert Community Foundation. Irene Somerset Gould was a successful local businesswoman, a charter member of SIVV and a past president of HTCF.

Soroptimist International of Victor Valley is a service organization whose goal is to help women and girls in our community. One of our projects this year is to provide four $500.00 scholarships to deserving females in our community interested in pursuing a career in a business related field. The criteria for this scholarship will be a female pursuing a career in a business profession, academic achievement, community service and financial need.

Applications must be received by May 15, 2008. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
